all form lies devoid of its shape;
beer is just water and barley,
wine remains locked in the grape—

today the sun is just fire,

the foundations loosed from the waters,
the land overcome with the sea—

today the cosmos is static,
creation is ground to a halt;
but all in advance of the third day,
the triumph the heavens exalt.
